Dear Camp Supporter,
Tay Valley Bible Camp is so grateful and tremendously humbled by your giving and prayer support. God has been doing great things with the young lives that have committed to Him. We want you to know that your giving and prayers have been very productive. We are continuing to see young people getting serious before God. Numbers of campers are making decisions for Christ and commitments to serve Him. Some are continuing on with formal training at Bible schools and mission schools. The staff have enjoyed the blessings of seeing the campers in their charge coming to know Christ as their personal Savior and then going home to live for Christ in their home and at school.
This past year we were able to have a retired couple come and give five weeks of their time to help at the camp. During Teen Camp we did a week of adventure camp followed by a traditional week of Teen camp. Note that during those two weeks we were pleased to have a large number of male campers. Mike Grant of New Tribes Mission did a couple of weekends of a program called Rikapuna, a three-day mission experience where participants deal with the problems of reaching people that don’t speak a known language and have no written copy of God’s word. We continue to do teen retreats on weekends and we enjoyed a very good response to these weekends with new campers coming back during the summer to get involved. These weekends are called “Recharge Weekends”.
As we look forward from here we are planning to improve the shower facilities first for the girls and then for the guys. Part of the girl’s shower building is complete, and we will have it ready for the next camp season. We also have done some repairs to the dining hall with more in the works. Water is now piped to the boy’s washroom and that had the guys giving some serious praise to God. We have started some roof upgrades and are putting metal roofing on buildings as we have manpower and time. Pray for us that we would be able to complete these things in a timely period and without a large financial burden.
This coming year we are planning to add two new events to try to be an encouragement to others. May 19 to 21 we are going to have a Young Adult Retreat, ages 18 to 35, married or single. This appears to be a serious need in our society today, and we see a huge opportunity to do something about it. Also, we have planned a Pastor and Leaders’ Retreat. Bob Dunlop has agreed to come and speak words of encouragement and share his wealth of experience with those who share the gospel today. This will be June 22 to 24th. Details can be found on the camp website www.tayvalleybiblecamp.com.
We again thank you for your support and ask you to continue to pray for the camp. Pray for the children that will be coming to camp and the staff as we prepare another season.
“Finally, brethren pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:” 2 Thessalonians 3:1
Because He lives

A message from the president of TVEA:
Greeting to all who are supporters, prayer warriors, and interested persons of Tay Valley Bible Camp.
November 9, 2013 we decided to partner with New Tribes Mission of Canada to help reach out to the Atlantic area to recruit and encourage those are interested in short term and long term missions. We are excited to be part of this outreach as it will also create more exposure for the camp and will increase the usefulness of the camp facility. This new outreach will require much more prayer and will increase the opportunity for others to become involved in the camp. We also feel this will increase the possibility for the interested teens to stay on and help as staff during weeks or weekends that NTM will be offering their program and possibility of learning more about the great commission.
At this time the “program” would be like an escape weekend of intense mission awareness and teaching of what it would be like to be involved in outreach to a third world people that speak some unknown language and have a totally primitive culture. This would be a weekend without cell phones or computers, without power and running water, and to be surrounded with nothing but nature and fresh air.
So I would ask you to pray that as we move forward that God would use this to be an outreach to others, to be an encouragement to existing missionaries, and to show young people the need for missions. Please watch for up coming announcements and who knows maybe we will see you at a NTM / TVBC missionary weekend.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
President Tay Valley Evangelistic Association

Last year as we prepared to have Tay Valley Bible Camp celebrate 50 years of camp ministry, we worked hard to make the camp grounds and buildings the best they could be to look presentable, if not impressive. As a result of this massive work project by both staff and volunteers the weekend was a huge success.
I spent hours walking around giving tours, answering questions, and pointing out the numerous improvements and changes that have happened over the last number of years. I listened to the various conversations of those who had been campers and staff in the past years, and I could not help but notice one common theme that keep coming to the center of every comment that was made.
It was not about the great games that were played during camp. It was not about the great facilities at camp. It was not even about the great messages that were presented. The common thread of all the talk was about two things.
The first was about how good God has been in real life situations. Testimonies about how God had healed, fixed things, changed lives, provided money, repaired broken lives, and saved lives.
The second thing was concerning relationships that were started at Tay Valley Bible Camp. Some spoke of the eternal relationship with Christ and others spoke about the friends that made during camp.
Tay Valley Bible Camp is in the people business! The most important part of the people business is the eternal relationship with God. If campers don’t come to a personal relationship with Christ at during camp or shortly after camp then we are not doing our job. The main goal of Tay Valley Bible Camp is to see young people come to know Christ as personal savior. The secondary goal is to teach them how to live as Christians and that we can have fun in Christ. This coming summer Tay Valley Bible Camp plans to continue with the two goals just as we have in the past.
We ask you to pray when you think of us.
We invite you to support the camp by giving funds as the Lord provides.
Lastly we invite you to come and help out. Work weekends are soon coming up and will be announced on our calendar right here on the website. website.
Thank you for your interest in Tay Valley Bible Camp.
